In Honor of Michael G. McGauhey

March 10, 1951 ~ April 9, 2006

Michael was as much a part of Pack Place as the steel and granite used to build it.  He has been involved in Pack Place since the groundbreaking and has overseen its operations since as its Facilities Manager.  In August of 2002, Michael was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the blood that affects the bone marrow.  Prior to his diagnosis, and in the 14 years spent at Pack Place since its opening in 1992, Michael never took a sick day off of work.  Throughout his fight with cancer, Michael never lost his sense of humor or upbeat attitude, and continued to come to work, even on his roughest of days.  It is an understatement to say that he will truly be missed.  Funeral arrangements will be made through Morris Family Funeral home and a memorial service will be held at Pack Place on Friday, April 14th at 2pm.
